In line with this commitment, we officially open the nominations for the prestigious Outstanding Honorian Artisan Award. I. Rationale
Pampanga State University, formerly Don Honorio Ventura State University, celebrates the innovative accomplishments and meaningful contributions of its alumni across diverse fields at the local, national, and international levels. As the University celebrates its 165th Founding Anniversary, it reaffirms its commitment to honoring graduates whose contributions reflect the institution’s core values of professionalism, excellence, and good governance, and whose work brings distinction to their professions, communities, and alma mater.
Anchored on the theme “165 Years of Shared Journeys: Honoring the Past, Celebrating the Present, Shaping the Future,” the Outstanding Honorian Artisan Award pays tribute to alumni who embody the spirit and identity of an Honorian. The term Artisan symbolizes innovation, dedication, and the purposeful, positive and lasting impact in their chosen fields.
The award recognizes alumni excellence while aligning their contributions with the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), highlighting the University’s expanding local and global impact through its graduates. Through this recognition, Pampanga State University aims to strengthen alumni engagement and inspire present and future generations to pursue success grounded in stewardship, uprightness, and social responsibility.
II. Structure of the Award
- Core Awards
The Outstanding Alumni Awards of the Pampanga University are conferred upon distinguished graduates of the University, regardless of academic program or year of completion, whose professional achievements, leadership, and service embody the institution’s vision, mission, and core values.
The awards framework is anchored on the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for 2030, which serve as the guiding pillars in defining each award category. Each SDG represents a distinct recognition category, and nominees are evaluated based on how their accomplishments, innovations, and societal contributions advance the specific development goal under which they are nominated.
Through this structure, the University honors alumni whose impact not only brings distinction to Pampanga State U but also contributes meaningfully to sustainable national and global development.

- Special Citation
The Special Citation of the Outstanding Alumni Awards of Pampanga State University is bestowed upon distinguished graduates whose exceptional achievements, exemplary service, or extraordinary contributions merit special recognition beyond the established award categories.
While the primary award classifications are anchored on the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for 2030, the Special Citation provides the University with the distinction of honoring alumni whose impact is uniquely significant, emerging, interdisciplinary, or transformative in nature. This recognition may be conferred upon individuals whose accomplishments demonstrate innovation, humanitarian service, institutional advancement, or national and global influence that meaningfully reflect the University’s vision, mission, and core values.
Through the Special Citation, Pampanga State University affirms its pride in alumni whose work brings honor to the institution and whose contributions create lasting and meaningful impact across communities, industries, and society at large.

General Mechanics

Note: Identified members of the screening committee are not eligible for nomination. All are welcome to nominate and or apply. Excellence The nominee is actively involved in community service and volunteer activities, contributing to the betterment of society Community Service/Stewardship The nominee shows a strong commitment to innovation, seeking new and creative solutions to challenges in their field or community. The nomination may be carried out via the following: self-nomination, individual nomination, or institutional nomination.
For self-nomination, an alumnus or alumna may apply and vie directly for the award. Under individual nomination, a person who is not necessarily an alumnus/alumna of the University may nominate an alumnus or alumna for the award. Meanwhile, in the case of institutional nomination, a government agency or private organization may likewise nominate an alumnus/alumna for any of the award categories. Institutional nomination may likewise come from the regular campuses, colleges, departments, and/or office units of the University.

- "Dukit Narrative" A 500-word narrative explaining why the nominee merits the award, emphasizing the lasting impact and distinctive “mark” they have carved in their profession or community.
Upon confirmation of the list of nominees by the University Screening Committee, each nominee shall be requested to submit in softcopy their Portfolio of supporting documents. This portfolio may include certificates, news clippings, testimonials, among others.All forms of nominations must have agreement and consent from the nominee. A nominator is only allowed to nominate one nominee. Nominators and nominees residing outside the Philippines remain eligible to submit nominations and be considered for the award, subject to compliance with all documentary requirements and evaluation procedures. Application Form may be downloaded from the official website and Facebook pages of the Alumni Affairs Office. All personal information provided by the nominee or nominator shall be processed in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its implementing rules and regulations. Each nominee must include a duly signed Undertaking or Sworn Declaration attesting to the authenticity, accuracy, and truthfulness of all submitted documents and information.
During the awarding ceremony and related publicity, only salient information relevant to the award shall be disclosed to the public, subject to the prior consent of the awardee(s).

- 14–17 (Distinguished): Candidate for "Achievement Awards." This award honors individuals who have transcended standard excellence to achieve profound, lasting impact within their respective domains.
- 10–13 (Notable): Candidate for "Feature Recognition." A candidate classified as Notable is more than just successful; they possess a narrative that aligns with the institution’s brand and inspires the current community. They are primary candidates for high-visibility media like "Success Stories."

Recognizing "Quiet Giants": To ensure our awards reflect the true breadth of alumni influence, we must weigh Community Impact equally with Professional Achievement. This prevents a systemic bias toward high-profile corporate roles and honors those making vital, yet less publicized, contributions in sectors.

V. Timeline of Activities (June - October)

Official launch of the search for outstanding alumni and acceptance of nominations

Formal communication to qualified nominees confirming their acceptance and
outlining submission requirements. - Phase 3: Submission of Portfolios and Supporting Documents – August - September
