Showcasing the role of technology in improving public service through university-led efforts, Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U) bagged two awards at the 1st Philippine Extension Managers Network (PEMNet), Inc. National Extension Project Conference held from October 27 to 30, 2026, at Hue Hotels and Resorts Boracay, Malay, Aklan.

College of Computing Studies faculty members, Ernest Joshua M. Diaz and Julieta M. Umali, placed 2nd Runner-Up for Best Extension Project and 1st Runner-Up for Extension Video Presentation during the conference exhibiting the project, “Transforming Jail Situational Reporting Through ICT Capacity Building and a Web-Based Real-Time Monitoring Platform: A Technology-Driven Extension Initiative for BJMP Region III”.

The project supported by the Extension Services Office was developed in partnership with the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Regional Office III and SATEZO IT and Digital Solution that produced the BJMP-R3 Jail Daily Situational Reporting System.
