The Industrialist, the official student publication of Pampanga State University, brought home 22 awards from the 4th Young Journalists Press Freedom Congress (YJPFC) held at Tarlac State University – Lucinda Campus on August 29, 2025.
Bannering the theme “Burning Ink: Young Journalists as Torchbearers of Truth,” the congress coincided with National Press Freedom Day, emphasizing the vital role of campus journalism in championing truth and integrity.
Organized by the Association of Tertiary School Paper Advisers of Region III, Inc., this year’s congress gathered 390 delegates from 37 student publications across Central Luzon, where two new events were introduced: Journalistic Position Paper Writing (on-the-spot) and Literary Art Painting.
