“True compassion does not close its eyes to mistakes; it opens its mind to the story it cannot see.”
This was the core message of a Values Advocacy reminder on compassion, shared by John Paul C. Gania of the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy.
As an educator, Gania highlighted the importance of compassion while reaffirming the university’s policies on fairness.
He urged his fellow instructors to maintain academic standards that coexist with empathy and understanding, while encouraging future teachers to lead with compassionate hearts.
The flag-raising ceremony was hosted by the College of Education and attended by members of the Administrative Council, faculty, non-teaching personnel, and students on October 26, 2026, at Pampanga State University grounds.
