Advancing its quality assurance initiatives in line with its commitment to academic excellence, Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U) commenced the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP) online survey visit for 19 academic programs with an opening program held on August 3, 2026, via Zoom.
In his welcoming remarks, Executive Vice President Engr. Reden M. Hernandez emphasized the vital role of accreditation in ensuring quality education:
“Every accreditation visit is, in many ways, a brand-new day. It is an opportunity to reflect on how far we have come, to recognize where we can still grow, and to reaffirm our commitment to delivering quality education to every learner entrusted to our care,” he stated.
“It is not about compliance for compliance's sake. It is not about awards, certificates, or prestige. It is about ensuring that everything we do translates into better learning experiences, stronger academic programs, and brighter futures for our students,” he added.
The panel of AACCUP accreditors is led by Dr. Rodolfo B. Burac, Vice President for Research, Extension and Innovation from Dr. Emilio B. Espinosa, Sr. Memorial State College of Agriculture & Technology, alongside Dr. Marlon R. Pereña, Associate Professor V from Cavite State University; Dr. Isidro L. Duran, Chancellor of DMMMSU-South La Union Campus; and Dr. Erwin D. Dumagpi, Director, Alumni Affairs and Placement Officer from Guimaras State University, together with other distinguished experts from state universities across the country.
Headed by the Quality Management and Systems Office under the leadership of its Director, Dr. Emmanuel B. Parreño, the university scheduled document assessments and virtual meetings with program counterparts from August 3 to 7, 2026, through designated breakout rooms for each program.
