Continuing its commitment to institutionalizing internationalization (IZN), Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U) through its Office for International Partnerships and Programs (OIPP) launched the first leg of its two-day seminar titled Institutionalizing Internationalization and Initiative Formation through a face-to-face session at the University Hostel on July 31, 2026.

The seminar brought together teaching and non-teaching personnel from the University's main and satellite campuses to promote a unified approach to institutional internationalization. 

It aimed to align academic and administrative operations with global standards while strengthening collaboration across campuses.

Serving as the resource speaker, Dr. Engelbert C. Pasag, Vice President for Internationalization of Pan Pacific University, shared valuable insights on internationalization in state universities. Through interactive reflection activities covering curriculum and office procedures, he guided participants in developing action plans for personnel and student initiatives.

“In your delivery, in your processes, in your purpose, IZN should be part of it. Everything should be anchored to it,” said Dr. Pasag.

“Kapag sinabing internationalization, this should not be dependent on one person or one office. It should be embedded in the system,” he added.

During the afternoon session, participants completed various audit activities and took part in a question-and-answer session, allowing them to assess their respective offices and identify opportunities to strengthen internationalization efforts within the University.

Participants are expected to reconvene virtually for the second leg of the seminar on August 7, 2026.
