“Whatever the final outcome of this accreditation may be, you should take pride in what you have accomplished. Your hard work, perseverance, teamwork, and commitment to quality assurance are already significant achievements worthy of recognition and celebration.”
These are the final impressions of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), as shared by Dr. Marlon R. Pereña of Cavite State University, as the five-day survey visit at Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U) concluded with a virtual exit conference on August 7, 2026, via Zoom.
Dr. Pereña commended the dedication and collective efforts of the university community throughout the accreditation process.
Additionally, four other lead accreditors presented the evaluation results for their respective assigned areas and expressed their appreciation for the warm hospitality extended by the university community throughout the visit.
The survey visit, which ran from August 3 to 7, assessed 19 academic programs across the Bacolor, Apalit, Candaba, and Mexico campuses. The assessment aimed to ensure quality education, promote continuous institutional improvement, and reinforce the university’s commitment to academic excellence.
Meanwhile, Pampanga State U’s Vice President for Research, Innovation, Training, and Extension Dr. Ranie B. Canlas emphasized the value of accreditation in evaluating both institutional standards and community impact.
“Beyond these papers that we have reviewed this week and presented to you, we know in our minds and in our hearts that the impact that we have to our students, employees, our partners, linkages, and the communities we serve cannot be summarized in these pieces of evidence. These periodic performance reviews keep us grounded and focused in making sure that we are performing our best at all times,” Dr. Canlas said.
Organized by the Quality Management Systems Office under the leadership of Dr. Emmanuel Pareño, the closing program marked another milestone in Pampanga State U’s journey toward quality assurance and world-class standards in higher education.
