Pampanga State University teaching and non-teaching personnel once again participated in the State Colleges and Universities Faculty Association Region III (SCUFAR III) Festival, hosted by Tarlac State University (TSU) in Tarlac City from August 5 to 7, 2026.

In support of the organization’s goals, Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U) fielded delegates from its teaching and non-teaching personnel to participate in the various sports and cultural events of the festival.

Leading the Pampanga State University delegation were University President Dr. Enrique G. Baking and Hon. Mike Haizon David, president of the University’s Faculty Association.

The Golden Artisans garnered 19 wins across various events, as follows:

Gold

• Fun Games (Agawan Base)

Silver

• Basketball Men (5 vs. 5) - 45 years old and above
• Dart Women – Open Age
• Table Tennis Women Doubles – 30 years old and below
• Track (4 x 50 Relay) – Open Age
• Track (4 x 50 Mixed Relay) – Open Age
• Fun Games (Big Volleyball)
• Fun Games (Longest Line)

Bronze

• Badminton Men – 22 to 30 years old
• Badminton Mixed – 31 to 40 years old
• Badminton Women – 22 to 30 years old
• Basketball Men (5 vs. 5) – 40 years old and below
• Basketball Men (3 vs. 3) – 50 years old and above
• Chess Men – Open Age
• Dama Men – Open Age
• E-games Men (Mobile Legends) – Open Age
• Table Tennis Men Doubles – 51 years old and above
• Table Tennis Women Doubles – 30 years old and below

This year’s theme, “Dalan Tungo sa Tagumpay: Fueling Faculty Synergy and Celebrating Culture for a Future-Ready Region,” united the 12 participating state universities and colleges in Central Luzon.

“On Friday, only one university will go home bringing a trophy… 13 will go home with a new friend.”

These were the closing words of Dr. Jasper Jay Mendoza, president of the host institution, Tarlac State University (TSU), during the opening ceremony of the State Colleges and Universities Faculty Association Region III (SCUFAR III) held at the TSU Gymnasium.

"Ang SCUFAR ay hindi gaya gaya sa laro ng mga bata, ito po ay bahagi ng ating sistema na para sa atin. SCUFAR III is not a break from our work, it is a part of our work to put in our calendar," Dr. Mendoza said.

SCUFAR III is a premier regional organization that unites teaching and non-teaching personnel, as well as faculty unions and associations, from state-run higher education institutions across Central Luzon.
