To strengthen the development and academic advancement of the local community, Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U) Apalit Campus in collaboration with Extension Services Office (ESO) formalized its partnership with Gawad Kalinga Consuelo Community (GK Consuelo) through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding  (MOU) held at the Pampanga State U Apalit Campus on March 6, 2026.

The agreement aims to build a strong partnership to collaborate on education, research, and extension efforts to better support communities, strengthen local leaders, and promote sustainable development.

Under the terms of the MOU, each institution will designate a focal person or office to coordinate planning and oversee project implementation, monitoring, and evaluation, ensuring the partnership’s long-term success.

Representing Pampanga State U during the ceremonial signing were Apalit Campus Director Dr. Mark Anthony A. Castro, Extension Coordinator Meriam M. Payumo, and faculty members, staff, and ESO Center managers. GK Consuelo was represented by Project Director Carol P. Tulud, Assistant Project Director Harry R. Herrera, and Administrator Candido A. Zamudio.
