To support colleges and campuses on internationalization (IZN) efforts and unify the University’s internationalization initiatives, Pampanga State University’s (Pampanga State U) Office for International Partnerships and Programs (OIPP) organized a technical support session at the University Hostel on October 12, 2026.
The College and Campus-Based Approach to Internationalization is the third session following assemblies from February and July of this year.
On behalf of Engr. Reden M. Hernandez, Executive Vice President, Dr. Mildred M. Crisostomo for demystifying internationalization, clarifying that it does not require sending everyone abroad or incurring massive financial strain, citing CMO 55, series of 2016, the speaker encouraged adopting home-based internationalization.
“This is not about asking everyone to prepare their passports. It's not asking everyone to look for international opportunities because they simply want to enjoy abroad. This is about doing the little things,” Dr. Crisostomo added.
In her closing statement, Dr. Crisostomo stressed that internationalization can function both top-down and bottom-up, originating from individual faculty, students, or colleges.
