Pioneering the delivery of comprehensive and accessible primary health care among State Universities and Colleges in Central Luzon, Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U) targets students, faculty, and staff to be included in Philippine Health Insurance Corporation’s (PhilHealth) Yaman ng Kalusugan Program (YAKAP).

Through the initiatives of Dr. Reynaldo S. Alipio, OIC-Dean of the College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences, and the Health Services Unit, the University’s Medical and Dental Clinic has started the registration of the students, faculty, and staff for YAKAP since December 2025.

The University’s Medical and Dental Clinic continuously facilitates YAKAP registration during office hours, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except on holidays.

“It is two years in the making. Last August we received our MOA approval from PhilHealth. I worked this one from May 2025 until August, kasi maraming process and procedures that I have to work out with the staff, kasi collaborative effort yan,” Dr. Alipio stated.

By bringing PhilHealth’s YAKAP in the Pampanga State U community, individuals who are registered will have access to primary care benefits for early disease detection and prevention, offering free consultations, lab tests, cancer screenings, and up to P20,000 worth of medicines annually.

“Sa Pampanga State U, we give effective, quality healthcare service. We are very therapeutic and caring to our patients.” Dr. Alipio added.

As of this writing, the Health Services Unit encourages students, faculty and staff to come to the Medical and Dental Clinic for the continuous registration for YAKAP.
