Committing to relevant and collaborative research planning and development, Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U) gathered key government agencies and stakeholders for a hybrid consultative meeting as part of developing its University Research Agenda for 2026–2030 held at the University Hostel on March 27, 2026.
The meeting served as a platform to present the proposed Research Agenda, ensuring the University’s research trajectory remains strictly aligned with government mandates, regulatory requirements, and the specific specializations of the University’s academic programs.
In his welcoming remarks, Dr. Ranie B. Canlas, Vice President for Research, Innovation, Training, and Extension, emphasized that the Research Agenda is far more than an administrative formality.
“This multilayered alignment transforms our Research Agenda from a mere document into a living roadmap to ensure that our efforts are cohesive, relevant and poised for real-world impact,” Dr. Canlas said.
“This will ensure that our research efforts drive us forward with a shared vision of becoming a premier university of innovation and service,” he added.
Spearheaded by the Research Management Office (RMO), led by its Director, Dr. Robin B. Dimla, alongside RMO center managers and staff, the discussion centered on identifying priority areas through a comprehensive SWOT analysis, designed to address both immediate local concerns and broader global challenges.
