
Demonstrating research excellence on the international stage, Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U) faculty researchers actively participated in the Innovation Congress (ICON) & International Research Conference on Pharmaceutical and Allied Sciences 3.0 (IRCPAS 3.0), with one of their studies receiving the Best Paper Award during the conference held at Le Quadri Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from March 26 to 28, 2026.
The award was conferred to Armie Tolentino, a faculty researcher from the College of Engineering and Architecture, for her paper under the Science, Technology, and Engineering On-site Category entitled “Design of a Portable Hydroelectric Generator with Conical Frustum Screw Turbine (CFST) for Rural Areas in Pampanga.”
Also presenting their respective research papers during the conference were:
- Alma L. Tangcuangco – “A Wheel-Driven Alternator System for Sustainable Energy in Philippine Rolling Stores”
- Freneil R. Pampo – “Enhancing the Traditional Filipino Wheeler: A Hybrid Electric Tricycle Powered by Brushless DC Hub Motor and Renewable Energy Sources”
- Mary Anne M. Sahagun – “Alumni Employability Tracking System for Electronics Engineering Graduates of Don Honorio Ventura State University”
Organized by University College Sedaya International in collaboration with Asia-Pacific Consortium of Researchers and Educators, the conference serves as a platform for researchers and academics to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and explore the latest developments advancing research and innovation in pharmaceutical and allied sciences.
