Sophia Bianca Santos, an alumna of Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U) - Laboratory High School Batch 2021-2022 was recently crowned as the Miss Elite World 2026 finals on September 19, 2026 at Somabay, Egypt.
Securing a spot for the top 5, Santos responded to the question focusing on whether social media unites or divides people, “I believe social media can make people unite[d] when we use [it] with a purpose, because it is an opportunity to share our stories, to inspire others, and connect to the people we meet personally.”
Sharing how she used social media to raise awareness for SOPH HEART, her advocacy that aims to empower indigenous people especially the youth.
Santos also expressed how she valued hard work as she recalled her experiences helping her mother as a vendor on the public market.
In addition, Santos expressed her readiness to be recognized and carry the responsibility as Miss Elite 2026 as she has waited for her international debut for two (2) years.
It is worth recalling that Santos claimed the Second Princess at the Miss World Philippines 2024 then later on crowned as Universal Woman Philippines at the Miss Grand Philippines 2024.
Nonetheless, being ineligible to compete due to age restrictions, Santos’ Universal Woman journey was cut short.
In 2025 Santos was officially announced as the representative of the Philippines for Miss Elite World but unfortunately the event did not push through.
This year Santos’ most-awaited international debut became possible as the event was held this September.
Aside from taking home the title of Ms. Elite World 2026 followed by Anabelly Ojeda (Venezuela), Sharon Julius Ndasala (Tanzania), Viktoria Lazarova (Bulgaria), and Jera Redant (Belgium), Santos stood out as she was also awarded the Best Evening Gown.
