Beginning the first Monday of October, Pampanga State University opened the week with a flag-raising ceremony attended by members of the Administrative Council, teaching and non-teaching personnel, and students from the College of Arts and Sciences on October 5, 2026.

For this week’s Values Advocacy Character, “charity” was highlighted by Roque B. Paule III of the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy.

“I believe charity is much bigger than giving something away. Charity is choosing to care.”

Paule encouraged everyone to embody charity, compassion, and great love in their daily lives, whether at home, in the classroom, among friends, or within the University.

He emphasized that education should shape compassionate individuals, rather than simply produce smart professionals.

The ceremony also coincided with the celebration of World Teachers’ Day, with faculty members invited to attend the celebration organized by the Faculty Association.

In the afternoon, asynchronous online classes will be held across all campuses.
