
Showing its commitment to the United Nations’ (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U) marked a significant leap from its previous rank of 1501+ at the recent Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Ratings (THE-SIR) 2026.
Driven by the university’s active participation across nine (9) out of 17 UN SDGs, Pampanga State U climbed the 1001-1500 bracket out of 1,603 institutions.
The university noted an exceptional performance in two key SDGs: SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) among the nine (9) SDG entries

The THE-SIR are the only global performance tables that assess universities against the UN’s SDGs through research, stewardship, outreach, and teaching.
In addition, the Philippines led in the world representation with 162 participating universities.
