
Strengthening the collaboration for higher education development is one of the objectives for the signing of Memorandum of Agreement between Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U) and Mindanao State University (MSU) via Zoom on October 6, 2026.
The collaboration between the universities is a step towards the conduct of the National Research Conference on Teacher Education (NRCTE) 2026 with a theme, “Advancing Teacher Quality through Research, Innovation, and Transformative Education for Sustainable National Development.”
MSU’s Dr. Glen A. Lorenzo, Vice President for Research and Extension shared the message of Atty. Paisalin P.D. Tago, CPA, President.
“This agreement is only [the] beginning. Its real value will be measured in the research we publish together, the teachers we empower, and the students whose lives are changed because two universities choose to work as one,” he said.
He also emphasized institutional stewardship, educational quality, national development, and bridging regional divides in his message.
Dr. Glen A. Lorenzo, Vice President for Research and Extension led the team of MSU alongside Dr. Annie Mae C. Berowa, Vice Chancellor for Research, Extension, and Development, and Asst. Prof. Jerryk C. Alico, Special Assistant, Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research, Extension, and Development.
Concurrently, Pampanga State U was led by Dr. Enrique G. Baking, President with Engr. Reden M. Hernandez. Executive Vice President concurrent Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Ranie B. Canlas, Vice President for Research, Innovation, Training, and Extension.
