
To strengthen its industry-academe synergy, Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U) officially partnered with the Production and Operations Management Association of the Philippines (PROMAP) through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement during the PROMAP Executive Leadership Masterclass and Capability Workshop held at Luna Hall, World Trade Center, Pasay City on September 10, 2026.
The agreement aims to continuously bridge the gap between classroom instruction and evolving industry standards, advancing quality production, operations, and business management through stronger collaboration between academe and industry.
Under this two-year framework, both institutions will undertake joint initiatives including faculty training, student development and industry exposure, curriculum enhancement, professional certification, and collaborative research and publications.
Representing Pampanga State U during the signing and workshop were Dr. Ranie B. Canlas, Vice President for Research, Innovation, Training and Extension and Director of the Procurement Management Office; Dr. Ma. Antonette Guintu, program chairperson of College of Business Studies (CBS); and Dr. Juris C. Sicat, CBS faculty and Secretariat of the Bids and Awards Committee.
Meanwhile, PROMAP was headed by President Henry Andres A. Luciano; Secretary, Fernando M. Ocsan; Treasurer, Robert C. Candelaria; and Program Director, Jonathan F. Estolano.
