Upholding its commitment in advancing research excellence, innovation, and knowledge generation, the Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U) through its Research Management Office (RMO) conducted a training-workshop for faculty researchers at the University Hostel on February 25 and March 11, 2026. 

The activity with the title, “From Ideas to Funding: A Training-Workshop on Developing Competitive R&D Proposals” was facilitated by Dr. Gil G. Cruz, Jr., Assistant Professor from the University of the Philippines Institute of Civil Engineering. 

Under his mentorship, 53 faculty researchers were engaged in a series of lectures, proposal development workshops, mentoring sessions, and proposal pitching activities that aimed to strengthen their capability to craft competitive capsule and full-blown research proposals. 

During the workshop, the participants had the opportunity for consultation and feedback for the improvement of their research initiatives.

The training-workshop was concluded under the leadership of Dr. Ranie B. Canlas, Vice President for Research, Innovation, Training and Extension, and Dr. Robin Dimla, Director, RMO.
