
Strengthening its commitment to international academic engagement, Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U) actively participated in the Association of Schools of Public Administration (ASPAP) International Conference 2026, held at the University of the Philippines Diliman, Quezon City, from June 8 to 11, 2026.
Representing the University, members of the delegation served as presenters and moderators during the conference's parallel and plenary sessions, contributing to discussions on contemporary issues in public administration and governance.
Dr. Dolores T. Quiambao, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services; Dr. Luis M. Lansang, Director of the Finance Management Service Office; and Ms. Andronica Jean F. Ambag presented their collaborative research titled, “Environmental Awareness, Attitude and Current Practices towards Garbage Disposal among Employees and Students in a State University: Inputs for Compliance Mechanisms to Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000,” directly addressing institutional accountability in ecological governance.
Also among the presenters was Dr. Jake B. Liwanag, a Doctor in Public Administration student under the Graduate Studies program, who shared his research during the conference's parallel session, while Dr. Jhon Paulo V. Oflaria facilitated discussions as a session moderator.
Hosted by the National College of Public Administration and Governance at the University of the Philippines Diliman (UP NCPAG), this year's conference carried the theme, “Governance Under Pressure: Advancing Public Sector Integrity, Accountability, and Reform in an Age of Complexity.”
The event gathered scholars, students, and representatives from policymaking institutions to discuss contemporary governance issues and reform initiatives.
Through its participation in the ASPAP 2026 International Conference and related academic activities, Pampanga State U reaffirmed its commitment to advancing research and professional development in public administration.
