
Strengthening the academic collaboration, faculty and student engagement, research and extension initiatives, the Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U) solidified its partnership with Visayas State University (VSU) through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in support of the Bachelor of Physical Education and Bachelor of Culture and Arts Education programs on July 14, 2026.
Pampanga State U through its College of Education and VSU’s Institute of Human Kinetics virtually sealed the deal to carry out physical or virtual modalities that will benefit the faculties and students of both institutions.
The following areas of cooperation are expected to be implemented during the five (5)-year period:
- Faculty and Staff Exchange in Teacher Education Programs
- Student Exchange Program
- Immersion in PE, Sports Programs and Culture and Arts Programs
- Joint Curriculum Development
- Co-Sponsorship of Seminars, Webinars, and Trainings
- Co-Hosting of Academic Conferences
- Collaborative Research and Publications
- Benchmarking and Sharing of Best Practices in Teaching and Training
- Internationalization Projects
- Shared Access to Sports Facilities, Laboratories, and Academic Resources
Representing Pampanga State U through its College of Education are Dr. Riza B. Lintag, Dean; Associate Professor Julius Ceazar G. Tolentino, Area Chairperson; and faculty members of Bachelor of Physical Education and Bachelor of Culture and Arts Education programs.
Meanwhile, VSU was led by Dr. Ma. Rachel Kim L. Aure, OIC VPAA representing Dr. Rotacio S. Gravoso, VPAA; Dr. Christy M. Desades, OIC Dean, Faculty of Teacher Education; and Dr. Charis B. Limbo-Rivera, Head, Institute of Human Kinetics.
